Application Submission
When you unlock your last required badge, an Assistant Director will make the Certificate Application webform available for your account.
Before completing the Application webform, you have an opportunity to revise your portfolio for a public audience. Final applications are reviewed by the DWRL Program Coordinator, the DWRL Director, and a faculty advisor from the Department of Rhetoric and Writing. Ideally, your Certificate portfolio could be housed on your own professional website and available to your prospective employers.
The final component of the DWR Certificate is a 750-1000 word statement that synthesizes the relationship between your skills, specialization, participation in Digital Dialogs, and your professional interests and goals. This statement is designed to help you articulate the value of your DWR Certificate (and your digital artifacts) as a marketable professional qualification in anticipation of your job search.
